Jupiter Moon Ice Cream

Featured Item: Loaded Waffle Bowl Sundae

  • 15 E Minnesota St Suite 108, St Joseph, MN 56374

  • Jupiter Moon Ice Cream at Munsinger Gardens
1399 Kilian Blvd SE, St. Cloud, MN 56304

  • Jupiter Moon Ice Cream is a story of community connection that started on three wheels. Owners David Boyer and Megan Freas originally launched the business in 2019 with a custom-built trike, peddling artisan scoops at events like “Summertime By George”. Their dream of a permanent storefront first became a reality in downtown St. Joseph, where they established a beloved shop known for its fresh-baked waffle cones and creative, small-batch flavors. Most recently, they’ve expanded their reach by taking over the seasonal concession space at St. Cloud’s historic Clemens Gardens, offering visitors a sweet escape paired with beautiful river views.

For a truly indulgent “third act,” the Loaded Waffle Bowl Sundae is a stellar choice. A crisp, golden-brown waffle bowl serves as the vessel for a generous scoop of their premium artisan ice cream, piled high with a curated selection of toppings that make every visit feel like a special occasion that is out of this world.

  • Where did the name Jupiter Moon come from?

In 2016 NASA’s Juno spacecraft reached Jupiter and promptly discovered a number of unknown moons, bringing the total to 79. After much research, our friends at NASA have assured us at least one of those moons is made of ice cream.

…. Sure, we will buy it 🙂 why not!?

Arroy Thai & Filipino Restaurant

Featured Item: Halo Halo

  • 800 W St Germain St, St. Cloud MN 56301

  • If downtown St. Cloud has a heartbeat for Southeast Asian soul, it beats strongest at Arroy. What once was the Thai restaurant Sawatdee has been transformed by co-owners Adrienne Donnel and Annie Meyer—former employees who used the pause of the COVID-19 pandemic to reimagine their dreams. The name “Arroy” translates to “delicious” in Thai, reflecting their mission to bring tradition and inclusion to the heart of the city through family-inspired Filipino and Thai flavors.

For the After Dinner Delights category, Arroy is serving up a cultural icon: Halo Halo. A traditional Filipino dessert meaning “mix-mix.” It features layers of jelly toppings, jackfruit, banana, rice crisps, shaved ice, and sweetened condensed milk, topped with house-made ube ice cream. Ube is a purple yam native to the Philippines, widely used in Southeast Asian desserts for its sweet, nutty, vanilla-like flavor! It’s a multifaceted treat that offers a refreshing, cool finish to a spicy meal.

Michoacana Treats Ice Cream Shop

Featured Item: Homemade Ice Cream

  • 3601 2nd Street S, St. Cloud MN 56301
  • Rooted in a family tradition that began over 20 years ago in Tlalpujahua, Mexico, Michoacana Treats is a testament to the art of the “paleteria”. Founder Carlos learned the craft from his father in the famous ice cream hubs of Tocumbo before bringing his skills to Minnesota. Alongside his wife Ofelia, he has created a space where the rich, authentic flavors of his heritage are churned into every scoop, offering a true taste of Michoacán right in Waite Park.

This Restaurant Week, they are highlighting their Homemade Ice Cream. Crafted in-house using techniques perfected over generations, these treats feature rotating traditional flavors that are creamy, bold, and entirely authentic.

Better Than Mom's Macarons

Featured Item: Macaron

  • 619 West St. Germain Street, St. Cloud, MN 56301
  • This local success story was born in a home kitchen and refined at the St. Cloud Farmers Market. Co-owners Kris Braegelman, a former trucking dispatcher, and Brandon Fisher, a former warehouse supervisor, left their corporate careers to build a business around Fisher’s passion for baking. After his mother taught him the basics, Brandon spent years perfecting the delicate French macaron until they gained a big following that demanded a permanent home downtown.

A highlight of the After Dinner Delights category is their signature Macaron. These are the real deal—delicate French pastries with two light shells and a flavorful filling, available in a rotating rainbow of sophisticated flavors.

Mexican Village

Featured Item: Mexican Fried Ice Cream

  • 509 W St Germain St, St Cloud, MN 56301

  • A downtown institution since 1978, Mexican Village is a place where history and hospitality collide. Owned by Greg Warnert, this restaurant has been a staple of St. Germain Street for over 45 years, surviving and thriving through decades of change. It’s a venue built on festive energy, famous as much for its iconic margaritas as it is for being the go-to gathering spot for generations of St. Cloud families.

For a classic sweet finish, nothing beats their Fried Ice Cream. It’s a delightful play on textures: a cold core of premium ice cream flash-fried in a crunchy, cinnamon-spiced shell and drizzled with honey or chocolate.
