Wilson Park and pavilion were constructed as a WPA project in the 1930's. The park features a beautifully shaded lawn and view of the Mississippi, as well as a fully accessible playground facility. While the full park pavilion will accommodate up to 240 for a sit down meal, it can also be used by much smaller groups for birthday parties, groom's dinners, family reunions and business meetings with a half shelter rental.
The building features two kitchens that can be used for two separate rentals renting the half shelter at the same time. (There is no physical divider between the two half shelter areas.) Those renting the full shelter will have access to both. Each kitchen includes a sink, stove top, refrigerator/freezer, microwave and power outlets. For your convenience, a shelter attendant is on site during all shelter rentals at Riverside. The attendant will open the shelter for your group 15 minutes prior to the start of your rental time per contract.
