Eclectic Foraging: A Beginner’s Guide
Mya Reinert will be guiding you on your discovery into forging from our natural world!
In this beginner foraging class they will be covering the basics of plant and mushroom knowledge, identification, tree identification and the different natural terrains and ecosystems that exist and coexist in the local spaces around you.
In these introduction classes you will discover local known and unknown plants and how to differentiate them from harmful look-alike plants; You will discover easy ways to identify different types of trees and terrain types that coincide with them, and you will discover more insight into the growth, sustainability, and uses of these abundant plants from the natural world.
You will learn how to incorporate them into everyday life, witchcraft and other practices that have included them in the past, and ways to properly forage for these specific herbs, mushrooms, and more whilst still allowing them to provide for the ecosystem. And most importantly, you will understand how to be responsibly sustainable whilst harvesting so that we can continue to do so for years and years to come.
Mya hopes that these introduction classes help to spark inspiration into exploring the world and helping the ecosystems grow and flourish. Also helping to expand your knowledge about the ecosystems that make up your backyards and create a backbone of knowledge to carry on as your ancestors once did through these same safe practices and landscapes.
