Not for the light of heart, La Playette Bar is home to hearty Latin American cuisine in St. Joseph.
The LaPlayette was opened in 1958 by Kay and Dirk Dierkhising. Over the years it has served as a local watering hole for the always affable locals (“The Townie’s”) and as a college hang out for SJU and CSB students.
